Syntax Erros Borland 2.0

I have an old C-Program written with Borland 2.0. Now I like to do some
changes, but I get lot of syntax Erros with my new computer. When I use the
old mashine ( 286 ) it works perfectly but I can not use the program on the
new computer. It will not run.( Runs under MS-DOS) Is there any one how can
help me?
I also used newer Compilers but with the same result. (Syntax Erros)

thanks

No one can help you unless you post the program code and the error messages.

Also this groups is for C++, if you want help with C try news:comp.lang. c

Hello, I have tried many avenues (web search, borland website, libxml website) before deciding to post here. I'm trying to install libxml2 on windows ME to work with my Borland C++ 5 Compiler (command line). Read through the installation guides from xmlsoft.org.

Why is C syntax so uneasy on the eye? In its day, was it _really_ designed by snobby programmers to scare away potential "n00bs"? If so, and after 50+ years of programming research, why are programming languages still being designed with C's syntax? These questions drive me insane. Every waking minute...

I am seeking for a method to parse single lines of Python code (infact they are only formulas, so I generate a line like RESULT=<formula>). I do only want to know if the syntax is correct and if there is an error best would be to know where. I did find PyParser_SimpleParseString which does return a node structure. If there is an error it seems to return NULL, while I did not find this documented. Th eproblem with this is that first I...

Hi, I have just inherited some embedded software that was compiled with Borland 4.52. I need to either purchase that compiler, which Borland no longer appear to sell or alternatively source an upgrade/compatible compiler. Do Borland sell a newer version of the 4.52 compiler that will still allow me to compile a DOS executable? Regards, Darren

Am wondering whether Borland C++ 4.5 or Borland Turbo C++ 1.01 supported C++ templates. If not, which other future version of BC++ or TC++ did? If BC++ 4.5 or TC++ 1.01 does support it, how much of the C++ language does it support.

I am trying to use the following IF statement, and whenever I use a single or double quote, I receive a syntax error. When using no quotes, the syntax is accepted, but the statement does not perform properly. ***The problem line*** <% if violation_type=''Tardy'' THEN %> ***rest of the statement*** TARDY VIOLATIONS <% if rs2.Fields(0) = 0 THEN %>

Well guys, I have tested a script that's working well in FF, however while testing with IE7, I am finding errors. That famous yellow warning icon at the left of our status bar. Basically, I am opening a new popup window using dhtmlgoodies modal message tool. It opens well in FF, however in IE, the yellow icon appears with a bunch of erros as soon as the new window opens up. The erros are - 1. Syntax error, line 3, character 6. 2....

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
