recompiling problems when linking

All,

Now I have meet a strange problems.
When all the files have been compiled and when linking, make always
recompiles some files. I don't know why. Would you mind giving some
suggestion?
The following is the recompiling error?

*************** *************** *************** ******
collect: recompiling Time-data.cpp
In file included from
/opt/exp/gnu/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/include/c++/3.3.1/backward/iostream.h:31,
from ../../../sk/src/nih/errors.h:64,
from ../../../sk/src/nih/Object.h:167,
from Time-data.h:29,
from Time-data.cpp:23:
/opt/exp/gnu/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/include/c++/3.3.1/backward/backward_warnin
g.h:32:2: warning: #warning This file includes at least one deprecated or
antiquated header. Please consider using one of the 32 headers found in
section 17.4.1.2 of the C++ standard. Examples include substituting the <X>
header for the <X.h> header for C++ includes, or <sstream> instead of the
deprecated header <strstream.h> . To disable this warning
use -Wno-deprecated.
*************** *************** *************** ******

Thank you in advance.

Is there a way to extend PHP features, like adding new database connectivity module, java interoperability etc. without recompiling PHP ? I need a UNIX/Linux solution, something like dropping .so file in certain directory. I am not a hobbist, and I do not have root priviledge at my customers site. My customers are not always capable to recompile PHP themselves, and it causes me problems. I am considering moving to Java/JSP/Velocity...

I'm trying to create a python module which can be used by a python interpreter embedded inside a fortran program I have. To do this, I first created python wrappers for all the functions in my fortran program using f2py. I then start an embedded python interpreter in c code which I link against the fortran program. I invoke the fortran program with a filename containing python code. This file is passed to the c code which passes it on...

I'm compiling the latest version of a CORBA ORB called MICO on a Cray X1. It makes heavy use of templates and namespaces. Up until the link step, the C++ source code compiled flawlessly. But, when it tried to link, I got the attached warnings and then an error. Any ideas why the linker wouldn't see the objects in the library? They look like pretty long names, so maybe there is some type of symbol length or mangling issue going on? The...

I have created an application and am trying to call functions from a previously existing dll. I can call some functions fine, but I get a link error an when I try to call any function that takes either an LPCTSTR or wchar_tas a parameter. Here's two functions that cause me problems: void CADAPICALL JuncFunc9(LPCTSTR aaa); void CADAPICALL JuncFunc10( wchar_t * aaa); (CADAPICALL is defined as __declspec(dllexport) or...

I have a customer that is using Access to create reports from FoxPro tables. We started noticing problems with the indexes on the FoxPro tables. It is to the point where we have to delete and rebuild the indexes on a nightly basis. We cannot determine if Access is the culprit and I have not been able to look at the Access reports and determine how he is linking to the tables. I realize this is not much to go on, but does anyone see any...

I have a custom control that builds what we refer to as "Formlets" around some content in a page. These are basically content "wrapper" sections that are tables that have a colored header and provide an open TD with a DIV in it for the content of this formlet. (The DIV is for DHTML to hide and show the content) I've created a web page showing step by step the two problems I'm encountering. This problem is much easier to see than it...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
