Compression between WCF server and CF client

Im trying to implement compression between a WCF server running as a
windows service and a CF client. The client connects via a code gen
proxy using a basicHttp binding.

I can do it if I run through IIS as my service host or if I use a WCF
client but I cant get anywhere when trying to do it as I need

Theres an example in the WCF technology samples but the class which
implements the compression uses a system.servicemodel base class and
therefore isnt much use on my client

Has anyone done this or has anyone got any ideas?
