resetting VS preferences etc

How do you reset Visual Studio's preferences and stuff to default?

And more directly, how do I turn back on line numbering?

also, intellisense is turned off too.

Doing a search for intellisense mainly returns VS FP results.

I checked in tools>options but couldn't find anything there regarding
intellisense.

You want Tools->Options->Text Editor for IntelliSense and Line Numbering.
Choose whatever language and set the options. As for a general reset, I'm
not sure. I'd like to know how to change tool box back to most used items
first instead of alphabetically which put text box way down. Only reset I
have found is Tools->Options->Environment->Reset Window Layout

Tools->Options->Text Editor

There is no intellisense option there at all.

I read this article, which was also available in the help file but that does
not apply to me because it's not during any of those circumstances.

I'm talkin about brand new files etc. Consol.WriteLine etc, nothing
intellisenses.
