snapping of form to form edges

2 New Member
I have this project at C#. My project has an MDI parent. Now, the problem is, I want to snap a form to form, it's like a sticky mdi child with each other all edges of the mdi child(left, right, top, bottom).

I don't have any idea for the code. I'm still a beginner.

Hey there all, Fairly easy question for a C# expert, i assume! Am still working on my Photo Album. On frmBrowsePhotos, i have a listBox (photosList) containing photoID's from a table in an Access Database. I click 'Add Photo' on that form and after the OpenFileDialog (etc.), it asks me to save some information about the photo (caption etc.) on a new form (frmAddPhotoInfo) opened up in front of the previous (frmBrowsePhotos).

Hi all Currently porting an application to managed C++ Have managed to create working MDI form and child windows etc. Also added a callback from an unmanaged 'C' dll (ok that was strangely easy to do and it works). The callback simply creates a string form the callback char * data

Some thread confusion to lighten up your day: I have a worker thread and a main form. When the user clicks the Close icon in the top right of the form, my program tells the thread to "stop". The thread will then complete its current operation and "Invoke" a method on the form telling it it has completed. The completed handler then calls Me.Close (). The trouble is, I seem to have some deadlock here - I mean after I call Me.Close(),...

Hello: I am fairly new to Access and was wondering if someone could help me out. I have a main form with header. In the detail section of the main form, there is a subform. The subform has a header and a detail section. I am not able to tab from the last record in the main form's header to the header of the subform. Also, I am not able to tab from the subform's header, to the subform detail section. I have set the tab order for each...

Hello All, Is is possible to use an ADO recordset to populate an unbound continuous Subform? I've done some Googling without much luck, so this maybe impossible, but let me try to explain why. I've been exploring using Access as a front end to both SQL MSDE and Oracle XE. I'm in the process of writing a class to handle the basics of the ADO connection and recordsets. The basic relationships are as follows:

I am writing a VB6 application that opens with a Login form that allows the user to select one of several databases. Clicking 'OK' on the Login form opens the Main form. Something has happened to the Main form. It opens, but it is frozen. None of the controls respond, and the form itself can not be moved by clicking and dragging on the title bar. The entire form is totally unresponsive. At one point the MDIChild got set to true and the Main...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
