Hi
I have a series of select menus on an online order form. I have
limited space for the field width. Is is possible to have the menu
width grow automaticallt to accomodate long item names. For instance,
the field may be 1 inch width on the form, but when I click the menu
it will expand to 2-3 inches wide to show a long item name, then
return to normal size after making the selection. I don't care if the
display of the select value gets...

In all my tests I cannot get the rightmost cell expand so the whole menu
gets it's total size. I do NOT want to convert the boxes to fixed width but
keep them shrinkwrapping around the menu texts. Also, I do want a border

I've been searching the web for hours now and found lots and lots of
javascript files with which you can create dropdown menu's, but with all
of them you have to specify the width of the menu-items.
This is not exactly to my liking because you have to set the width
according to the text in the menu-items. Now, when working width a fixed
font size, this goes fine, but that's not exactly what I want. If people

For years now Python has not supported variable-length lookbehinds.
I'm just curious whether there are any plans to change this in Python
3.0, or before, or after. It seems that Perl 6 will allow variable-
width lookbehinds (see http://dev.perl.org/perl6/doc/design/apo/A05.html
and http://dev.perl.org/perl6/rfc/72.html ).
