Hi,
I'm using pyserial to transfer data from PC to another device - the
data is either from an ASCII file or binary data file. Everything
works fine up until I start using files of a particular size on Linux,
around 1.3MB.
When I send the data on windows everything is ok - on Linux I get the
following traceback:

Hi all,
I have a process, where I take a dataset from an SQL call, and need to write
an XML file from that dataset.
The data set can contain 10's of tables, each with 100's of rows, and I have
no way of knowing what the tables are, or what they contain.
I am currently using the Dataset.WriteXML method passing an XMLWriter.

Hello All.
I have a program that downloads 'gigabytes' of Axis NetCam photos per day.
Right now, I set up the process to put the images into a queue, and every 30
or so seconds, 'pop' them from the queue and save them to disc. I save
them as individual files.
I think that I'd like to modify it to save into one file 100-200 images,
so that I don't have directories with 50,000-90,000 frames before handing
that off to a DivX Encoder.

Hi all,
AFAIK it is possible for columns to be very large, up to about 2 GB. Are
there any hints or experiences about storing binary data (jpg-images,
pdf-documents) in PostgrreSQL with or without the complicated lo-stuff?
Of course it's in many cases a good approach to store those files simply
in the file system but there's always a risk of running out of sync
(filesystem and tables), e.g. by deleting files and not deleting the
table...

Is it possible to use DAO 3.6 to access binary data (varbinary(max)) in
Sql Server 2005? I have images and sound in a Sql 2005 DB that I need
to retrieve (and write) with DAO (ADO and ADO.Net are not options as
this is legacy code that can't be changed).
