I tried to launch "python.exe test.py" in another program. After the
launch the console was showed and exited on Windows. I want the
console stay there. Is there a Python statement to wait an event loop
like Tcl's "after forever"?

I've just finished reading Python turtorial for non-programmers
and I haven't found there anything about some usefull commands I used in
QBasic. First of all, what's Python command equivalent to QBasic's "goto" ?
Secondly, how do I clear screen (cls) from text and other content ?
And last, how do I put program to wait certain amount of seconds ?
If I remeber correctly I used to type "Wait 10" and QBasic waits
10 seconds before proceeding...

I'm calling Monitor.Wait() from a console event handler.
It's not working -- the call to Wait() immediately causes
the process to exit. Is it impossible for some reason to
call Wait() from an event handler?

When I use
UPDATE COMMAND OPTION USING <any_switchON(or OFF)
it seems that this command has absolutely no effect on these switches
since command
LIST COMMAND OPTIONS
issued after that shows the same values as before issuing UPDATE

I am new to python. I am using the os module to run a command in a
bashshell. However I need this process to complete before continuing. Is
there a command that will wait for this process to complete? I am using
Windows XP and the os.wait() command only works for UNIX systems, and
therefore doesn't work.

I have just started learning visual basic 2005. I tried entering the command: Wait(1000) in order for the program to wait for 1 second before proceeding, but it rejected this saying Wait wasn't defined. How do I enter a pause between lines of code? Since I'm very new to visual basic, I would like to be able to follow things along on the screen without them whizzing right by.Thank you!

I am just learning to use asynchronous ADO commands and I would like to wait on the BeginExecuteReader() IAsyncResult wait handle.
When I use
WaitHandle waitHandle = asyncresult.AsyncWaitHandle;

the main thread does not wait it just continues executing and eventually terminates killing the reader thread.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
