Hi,
Does anyone know of a deadlock detector for Python? I don't think it
would be too hard to hook into the threading module and instrument
mutexes so they can be tested for deadlocks. I've googled around but I
haven't found anything.
Cheers,
Duncan.

Hi,
I've come across what appears to be a bug in the rendering engine of internet explorer when a document is opened by
showModalDialog. Basically any elements that should render to the right hand edge of the window (i.e. Horizontal rules,
100% tables) fall short by around 15 - 20 pixels or so. I'm currently using internet explorer 6 and have created two
simple pages to demonstrate the behavior. My original pages were much more complicated...

Does anyone know of a simple implementation of a straight line
detection algorithm something like hough or anything simpler. So
something like if we have a 2D arary of pixel elements representing a
particular Image. How can we identify lines in this Image.
for example:

i'm searching a sample of c# implementation of Deriche edge detection.
( if possible, with getpixel/setpixel because i don't use pointer)
i tried to adapt c or c++ code but it doesn't work
if someone done it ...
thanks ,

I am doing a project on image processing in c#.
to perform the sobel operator i want to use lock bit method. but the probelm i face is here how i increment and decrement the pixels values in this case.
it is very easy to do it using Getpixel method but i couldn't find a way for it in lock method........
waiting for sumone who can help me.

hi there,
I am doing my last year's project and I have a 'little' problem. I have to do an edge detection filter. for now, some normal edge detection filters that I used worked fine but there a problem. I need an edge detection filter in which I can offset the edge according to a variable that the user gives. The problem is that I got no idea of how to make an edge detection filter with an offset.
anyone can help please?
thank you

Hi,
Maybe I should break down and use tables, but I wanted to query the
experts first. Below, I would like the words "First name" and "Last
Name" to appear on the same horizontal and I would like the text
fields to appear on the same horizontal. But I would like the words
to appear above the text fields. The below creates four different
lines:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
