Code a submit button to submit data to Access

2 New Member
Hello,

I have a Windows form I made in Visual Studio 2008. It has ten text boxes that allows the user to enter the proper information. I have a database setup that is empty that needs to be filled by this form.

When I click submit, how do I make it to where it submits the data from these text boxes to the database?

I want to understand the difference between submit button and regular button: <input type="submit"> and <input type="button">. My understanding is that submit button will send the entire HTML form to the web server, but regular button won't. I have a problem that needs to pass HTML elements data back and forth in several ASP pages. I am using regular button to do that. But what's the approaches?? Please advise. Thanks!

Looking for the best resources for converting an existing Access 2003 database to the web. Have an application that has many forms and reports, with sub-forms and sub-reports and liberal use of VBA in form exit points. Am aware of the wizard to add sub-forms and sub-reports to data access pages, available at http://www.trigeminal.com/frmrpt2dap.asp Tried it once, prior to Access 2003, but couldn't get it to work. Unfortunately, the...

Can someone tell me how you change this code for an Oledb connection rather than SQL Server. The code currently uses Microsoft.Data.Access.Application.Block and the SQLHelper object... I need to use this with an access database! reader = SqlHelper.ExecuteReader(ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings("strConn"), CommandType.StoredProcedure, "rolesForUser", New OleDbParameter("@Username", User.Identity.Name))

Hi, For a web page, I want a SUBMIT button that commits the form data and a CANCEL button that goes to a different target (i.e. a different script). I haven't figured out how to do this, because the <FORM ACTION="... tag seems to make sure that any two submit controls in a form have to go to the same target. BTW, the CANCEL button does not have to submit any form data.

I am just starting out trying to create my first data access page (DAP) using Access 2000. I have created a default index.html page plus one other "Members" page. I have placed a command button on the index page which I want to use to jump to the second page in the same window. Using the MS script editor I've seen the stub code generated in the HTML for the OnClick event. It says to use either VBScript or Java to flesh out the event...

I created a submit form that calls a javascript:AjAX Command that will call the data and submit it without have the page refresh. This works perfect in Firefox however in IE and Opera when the submit button is pressed it just disables the button and does not submit the data. Any idea? <script type="text/javascript" src="<?=$config->getKey('Site_URL')."js/AJAX.js"?>"></script> <form name="EditUser" method="post" accept="text/plain"...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
