I am in a slight predicament trying to determine the most efficient and
effective way to connect/disconnect from a database within a business object
(c# dll). I'm also keeping in mind the concept of connecting late and

I've created a class to listen to all interfaces and do a
BeginAccept(). Once it gets a connection, it passes the connected
socket off and stores it in a List. Next, it continues to listen for
more incoming connections and does the BeginAccpet() again. It does
an infinite loop this way. My question is: What is the best way to
stop this? I thought about putting a boolean in there, but then what
if it's still waiting for an incoming...

Right now I have run into a problem. In my windows application I wish
to run a function called waitForClient(), which waits for a clients
connection using WinSock. Anyway, within the button click event, I
have inserted this function. The only problem is that when you click
the button, it freezes the whole windows application. This is because
it is running an infinite loop and isn't properly running the rest of
