I have a table that contains a bunch of pictures. When the user selects a
particular image in a form, I need a way to extract the selected bitmap
image (stored in an OLE Object table field) to the file system so the user
can do stuff with "somePicture.bmp", for example.
Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks in advance.

I'm looking to use an image of letters and numbers, whereby I
need a way to extract each letter and number to create random
strings, then combine/conjoin/meld/mesh/merge/unify/unite the
images into one one image.
Is it better to extract each individual letter from one image and
then create the new image or is it better to use 36 different
images of different names and then create the image from that?
And can anyone provide any help in...

The problem is that most images vary in size.
Here's my question:
Knowing the filepath of the image, is it possible to extract the width
and height? If yes, how...

Hi all
Does anybody please know a way to extract an Image from a pdf file and save
it as a TIFF?
I have used a scanner to scan documents which are then placed on a server,
but I need to extract the image of the document (just the first page if
there are multiple pages) and save it as a TIFF so I can then use the
Tesseract OCR to get the text in the image.

Hi,
I need to extract a frame from a wmv file and save it as a jpg. In fact
I need to extract a frame from each one of a collection of several
thousand wmv files, but that's beside the point.
I've actually written a script that does exactly this using the pyglet
module. But while it works fine on my local machine running Python 2.5,
my host is only on 2.4.3. They've installed pyglet for me, but it won't
run without ctype, and they...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
