What's the best, cross platform, way of finding out the directory a
script is run from ?
I've googled a bit, but can't get a clear answer.
On sys.argv the docs say :
argv is the script name (it is operating system dependent whether
this is a full pathname or not).
So this doesn't seem to be the answer.

Hi,
I'm trying to invoke the 'Broken Hyperlinks' option in the FrontPage
application. The problem is that I get all the links in a given HTML
page instead of getting only the broken links.
I'm using automation in my Visual Basic program and I'd like to know if
there is any way to get only the broken links in a web page.

I wish to remove a field from a record, however when I try I am told that I cant remove it
until I remove links to other records, and that the links will be showin in the links
will show up in the Relationships window. Unfortunatley, they dont!
Does anyone know of any tools to find all the links to a particular table? It may be that

Hi everyone,
i want .net(VB or C#) code for finding broken links in a website.
The requirement is that the user will be able to type the
url in a text box so once the button is clicked , it has to show
whether there are any broken links in that particular page.
Please help me out in this.

I have a website that functions fine locally, but when published to the
server it develops a bottleneck during loading some of the pages. Basically
what happens is the page loads to about 25% then it freezes for anything
from 10 - 40 seconds, before suddenly loading the rest of the page.
Of course I understand that this could be down to some code on the page
locking the thread or suchlike, but I would like to be able to be...

There is a web page that has a bunch of links on it (i.e. "<A
HREF=..."). I am trying to automate clicking on one in a WebBrowser
control. However when I execute the following code:
Dim oCollection As HtmlElementCollection
oCollection = WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByTagName("A")
oCollection.Count is ZERO. I am assuming that I'm not using the
correct Tag Name. I also tried "a" and "link" but they also return no
elements.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
