If you are using Rackspace, I suggest you ask them that question.

It's always better to go directly to the source.

If you're interested in finding out where your traffic came from you may be interested in the topic of the HTTP referrer (aka referer)

Hi ! I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I have been in IT for 30 yrs. Most of the time I have coded in Cobol on medium size systems (Data General, now a dinosaur). For the past 2 years I have coded in a proprietary, object-oriented language called Graphtalk(CSC). I have been studying JAVA and need very much to get into a shop that will allow me to improve and enhance my abilities with JAVA. As we all know, most companies want...

Hi, The application setup is: Access frontend + ODBC (TCP/IP) + MSSQL7 Few days ago i was informed that the app generates high network traffic. Thus i started to look for some savings. I found out (sniffer) that even if the client is idle every 30sek. a TCP packet comes from client to server, then answer goes back. The

I am modifying an existing ASP.NET application to make it SSL compatible. I have already searched the codebase and eliminated all hardcoded "http" instances, replacing them with a method call that returns the appropriate ("http" or "https") value in a given context. I have also modified all iframe instances to ensure they always have a valid src. But, when I run the application, I still encounter the following Security dialog in IE: ...

I am capturing syslogd traffic from a firewall/router, if I display the results to Console it runs fine and dandy, but the minute I need it to go to a ListBox, DataGrid or even a text box problems begin to arise. It comes down to what looks like latency, but the control are not fast enough to refresh in time to display all of the packet contents. I have tried threading the function, but that only increases the latency. At one point I...

Hello list, our team is going to rewrite our existing web-site, which has a lot of dynamic content and was quickly prototyped some time ago. Today, as we get better idea of what we need, we're going to re-write everything from scratch. Python is an obvious candidate for our team: everybody knows it, everybody likes it, it has *real* objects, nice clean syntax etc.

Hi. This is just a disaster management question. I am using XMLHTTP for the dynamic loading of content in a very crucial area of my web site. Same as an IFrame, but using XMLHTTP and a DIV. I got the core of the javascript from here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxcontent.htm I noticed in the demo that sometimes the content takes a long

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
