Finding Links that are not in Links Window

Hi:

I wish to remove a field from a record, however when I try I am told that I cant remove it
until I remove links to other records, and that the links will be showin in the links
will show up in the Relationships window. Unfortunatley, they dont!

Does anyone know of any tools to find all the links to a particular table? It may be that
I need to reset something to make them appear, in which cvase I would love to know what to
reset and how!!

Help much apprectaited

Are you asking about table links to remote mdb files or the linking
that occurs when you set a Primary Key/Foreign Key relationship
between tables?

Danny:

These are links within the system (i.e on the same computer and in the same Access mdp
file). Database and application are together at the moment, since the system is under
development. No remote links exist!

Anything you can do to point me in the right direction would he of help.

Regards

I am attempting to reconstruct the links and some of the fields because the sturcture is
massivly confusing at the moment. I want to totally get rid of the field (and in some
cases tables) so that they are no longer present!

So when it tells you can't remove the field, it's because the field
participates in a relationship with another table, either as a Primary
or Foreign key.

Go to the relationships window, find the field you want to delete,
remove all relationship lines by deleting them. Now you can remove
the field ... however, you also just removed your referential integrity.

This is OK, so long as you don't try to use your application until you
get it all put back together.

Hi, My Asp database generated pages' content links all open a new window containing the same page by default; this is strange since the default behavior for anchor links is to open in the same window; I can and have corrected this with target="_self" but I have additional anchor links that call JavaScript to submit a form and these aren't stopped from opening the new window by the "_self" value. Interestingly, once the new window is...

Is there any way to create and open a window in javascript so that links in other websites won't "steal" it? I've written a web page with a form for people to enter headlines and URLs from newspapers. They will want my window to stay there as they surf through various online newspapers. We don't want their popup links to take over my form window! This is a real problem - it renders my web page useless and wastes peoples time.

The scenario: 1) Generate a popup window via script. 2) Populate it (again via script) with content that features local (hash) links. In IE 6.x this works - the links work as they should, moving the document to that document position. However in FireFox 1.x the links load the main page (the opener) in to the popup. Both browsers populate the location.href of the popup with the main page's href... but this only adversly affects...

Hello all, On occasion I want to open hyperlinks (images, etc.) in a new window. In the past, I've used target="_blank" to open the link in a new window. However, using the "target" attribute causes my pages to fail validation (strict doctype). The validator says "There is no attribute 'target'.." So...how do I open a link in a new window, without Javscript, and pass strict validation?

Hi I have a flash interactive window which has html links and this appears on an html page. This window can be moved with the mouse on the html page. The html page has an iFrame too. This problem is coming in Firefox, but running fine in IE. If anybody has any solution, please...

I have a php function that creates different links to a particular column in my <table>. The links work great, one problem though. Say your on the main page and you click one of the links that were generated. First, a new window opens (_blank) and address of the link is executed. So for the first click everything is great. But if you go back to the main page and clink on a different link, it will just load a new page in the child window. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
