Can your app detect Webrowser events?

jim
I want to make a WYSIWYG editor for HTML pages that can detect events in the
webbrowser control in real time and control the webbrowser control (and
internal documents) to allow simple stuff like dragging and dropping HTML
controls on the webbrowser control.

The goal is a real-time view of the page as it is edited.

Is it possible for a .Net app to trap these events and respond accordingly?

I have googled for soem code examples, but haven't found anything yet. Do
you know of any code examples of this?

Thanks so much for your time!

Hello,

as i understand about your required task, you need a client scripting
(like javascript). Probaly some AJAX.
For this kind of operations you'll need to handle some object events
(ieg an image click, or drag/hold), a bit of positioning (and other)
CSS with javascript to manipulate them. this for a start..
no memory from an good sample.. excepts by IGoogle
good luck

hum, i've just remember.. the VS2005 has a component which says do
this sort of interactivity.. webparts? maybe someone know it better

How can I detect when a link has been clicked but the new page is still in the process of loading? The document.location.href property still displays the current location (understandably) not the one that's about to load. I have a page that reloads every 30 seconds in order to access live data. If a user clicks on a link just prior to the page reloading the reload takes precedence over the link click and this is annoying for the users....

These events are not getting back to my C# application. I saw a tech note and a hot fix for this problem for .NET 1.0.. but i'm using ..NET 1.1 (Visual Studio 2003). Did this problem re-surface?

Hi, I have an image in a webrowser which is 3000 pixels wide so does not fit in the browsers window. It is a CAD drawing so needs this detail. Using the scroll bars makes the image difficult to view so I am looking for some code where I can set the view width to 1000 pixels and the code will allow me to zoom in and out of the image and pan it around the page, a bit like how google maps works. Can anyone help me with this please. It...

The link below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;128814 to the Microsoft KB "Detect Idle Time" article shows how to detect "idle" time. However, if a user is active but doesn't move between controls on a form (eg, filters on the same control), this is seen as inactivity. Has anyone successfully modified the code to detect filter/find events on the same control? Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Compound question: first, and this is not easy, if there's a way to detect multiple simultaneous key presses in C# let me know (in the below code, keys c and d being pressed simultaneously or nearly so). I researched this and for C# (as opposed to MFC) there is no library function, and no easy way, though some code on the net suggested that you set up a thread that 'lives' for a certain time, then, if keys are pressed in that certain...

My program needs to do X when someone 'starts using' their Windows user account, and it should do Y when they 'stop using' their Windows user account. By 'starts using' I mean they log on, unlock the desktop, resume from hibernate/sleep, or resume a session that was paused via Switch User. By 'stop using' I mean they lock the desktop, initiate a hibernate/sleep , or choose Switch User while logged on. For context, the program is a parental...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
