A Form has a select list which lists all the column names of a SQL Server database table. Users will select one or more than one column from this select list & after submitting the Form, the records of only those columns that he had selected in the previous page will be displayed to him. This is the Form code: ---------------------------------------- strSQL="SELECT COLUMN_NAME FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME='tblSheet'...

I have the following queries/Observations about DLINQ. 1. I could not find any direct way of handling many to many relations. Suppose if User and Role are related by a join table UserRole then I should be able to have a collection of Roles in User and vice versa. Which i think is not possible in DLINQ. (Please correct me if I am wrong) 2. State management is handle outside entities. In scenareos where a client grabs a entity from a...

Hello, I am creating an a to z list - basically a count of all results that start with the letter "A", "B", "C" .... and so on. I am pretty poor at SQL so I am sure some brains out there can do better than I have here. What I have is working, I just want to make sure that it is optomized.

I'm trying to create a cursor and complete some processing against DB2. I'm using DB2 V8.2 on AIX. I don't wont to create a stored procedure, I just want to use a regular query editor such as command editor or DBArtisan. It seems DB2 doesn't like the cursor syntax in either one of these tools. Can you use cursours outside of a program or SPROC? and just in a simple SQL File? In SQL Server I can use cursors, and everything for that...

Show up and talk to members of the DLinq team. What's DLinq, you ask? Well, to understand that you'll need to know what LINQ is - you can start with the blurb below, read more about it here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/linq/, and install the latest CTP: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=1e902c21-340c-4d13-9f04-70eb5e3dceea&displaylang=en It's very cool stuff. How to fix ? Write it the way that you know works... (i.e. the one you commented out), or write that parses the input string doing a Split on '.', and uses reflection to navigate the child hierarchy. Which isn't something I have time to do right now... Marc

I created dynamic extension methods for <= and < SQL comparison operators: public static IQueryable<TLessThanOrEqual<T>(this IQueryable<Tsource, string property, object value); public static IQueryable<TLessThan<T>(this IQueryable<Tsource, string property, object value); For example var q = db.Customers.LessThanOrEqual( "City", "London" );

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
