How do I check in a Windows Forms app if any controls have changed? I have
a form that collects data, and I want to prompt the user if they try to exit
the app, or load a new file, without saving changes that have been made.
In MFC/Win32, you'd trap the WM_COMMAND/EN_CHANGE notification messages,
etc. But, this doesn't seem to happen in Windows Forms. I tried Spy-ing a
windows forms app, and the WM_COMMAND messages don't even get sent...

What I want to be able to do:
A textbox is available that the user can enter information into.
Specifically (for the purposes of this post), the user is asked to

On the form are several textboxes and a "Generate" button.
I would like to have the button grayed (not enabled), unless the data in
each of the dependant textboxes is valid.
What is the proper procedure for doing this?
It seems the Validating and Validated events for each control only fire when

I'm having a problem supressing characters in a text box. I only want alpha
numeric characters (no special chars). I can handle the TextBox_KeyPress
event to supress the invalid characters when the user types them in, however
that doesn't handle the user pasting invalid characters. I thought to use
the MouseDown event but I couldn't figure out how to tell if the user is

This is a weird problem..
I have a page with a textbox and a button (along with a bunch of other
stuff). Both the textbox and the button have their SEPERATE events
defined for the textchanged and click events. When I change the text
in the textbox the textchanged event is called as expected. But the
button click event is also called!?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
