Hello All,
i have recently installed VS2005 and was trying to install SQL sever
2000.
I have Win XP' SP2. But when I tried installing, it only installed
client tools and not the database.
Can anyone please help me with this as I want to install SQL server and
also wouold be grateful, if you can suggest me any workaround to
dealwith this problem.(Like should I install any new OS etc).
Any help would be appreciated.

I recently purchased a good MS book ("Build a Web Site Now") by Jim
Buyens. It has the Express Edition of MS-Visual Web Developer 2005 on
CD and also MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition on the CD. A couple of
questions for this newbie: Can MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition be
used in place of the older MSDE product for backend database work? I
also have Visual Studio .NET (VB) 2003 (Standard Edition). How
compatible are all these products...

Hi all,
I have installed Visual Studio 2005 Professional and I have also installed
Visual Csharp Express 2008 without any problems but now I am trying to
install Visual Web Developer Express 2008 and I have an error installing Web
Authoring Component. I have no idea why this happens and I don't find
nothing on Internet.

I just installed Visual Web Developer Express 2008 for the Javascript
Debugging functionality.
I browsed to an ASP.NET 1.1 website running on my localhost and hit a
Javacript error.
I clicked yes to debug, but VS Web Dev Express 2008 is not in the list!

I have no knowledge of MS SQL server or .net development.
I have visual studio express installed on my system. I would like the
guest account to be used to learn the development work. It seems
Visual Web Developer is working only as long as there is no need to
connect to SQL server, it seems to be privileges problem, am I rite?
If so, how can this be solved, I would like the 'Guest' user be able
to use it (SQL server). Thanks in advance....

I have a tutorial I was working on with Visual Web Developer 2005 express.
Very basic stuff intro to asp.net. All was working fine a few days ago. I
