Web Developer Express 2008

Hi all,

I have installed Visual Studio 2005 Professional and I have also installed
Visual Csharp Express 2008 without any problems but now I am trying to
install Visual Web Developer Express 2008 and I have an error installing Web
Authoring Component. I have no idea why this happens and I don't find
nothing on Internet.

Many thanks!!
Vicente

Always read the "Readme.htm " file very carefully. Not sure, but it could be
because you have an older version of the component already installed and it
may need to be removed first.

Hi,

I read the readme file but I didn't see anything. I've already look for a
older version of the component but I don't have another version :( I have no
idea about the problem but I should install the new version.

Thanks a lot.
Vicente.

Hi, I just installed Visual Web Developer Express 2008 for the Javascript Debugging functionality. I browsed to an ASP.NET 1.1 website running on my localhost and hit a Javacript error. I clicked yes to debug, but VS Web Dev Express 2008 is not in the list!

So, what is the relationship between Visual Studio and Visual Web Developer. I find a lot of documentation on MSDN that presents Visual Web Developer as it's own stand-alone product (which I'd expect of the Express editions), but apparently there are NON Express versions of Visual Web Developer. Is Visual Web Developer only built-in to Visual Studio 2008 Professional? I see "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008" listed as an installed...

Sorry for the newbie question but I'm trying to learn Visual Studio. I've got VS Express 2008 and I'm using visual basic. I'm trying to learn how to deploy a program so I've written a very basic windows application (lets call it TWinApp1) with just a couple of buttons and a text box. It is very simple and runs fine in the debugger. Using TWinApp1 I'm trying to learn how to create a setup program to install an application on a system....

I need to move a database from sql server 2008 to sql express 2008. Will backing up the sql server 2008 database to a file and then using that file to restore to sql express 2008 work? I don't have express on my machine so I can't simply try to see if it works. If I do do it, sql server will be on my machine and sql express will be remote.

I installed SQL Server 2008 Express, basic edition (SQLEXPR32_x86_ENU_Bootstrapper.exe, version 9.0.30729.1) without any problem. Then I attempted to install AdventureWorks Sample Databases for SQL Server 2008 (SQL2008.AdventureWorks_All_Databases.x86.msi). This attempt failed because SQL Server 2008 Express, basic edition doesn’t support Full-text Search, which AdventureWorks requires. So I uninstalled SQL Server 2008 Express, basic...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
