Is there some way --using, say, DOM or javascript-- to detect the
current pixel width and/or height of a relatively sized table or of
one of its columns or rows. I'm going to be writing javascript to
adjust my page to the viewer's browser window dimensions and this
would sure be great information to have.
Thanks ....

Hi All,
Apologies if this has come up before, but how can I set up something
that will notify me when a removeable drive (like a USB drive or
CompactFlash card) is inserted into its slot? Ideally I would like
some sort of event that would call my code when it happens. The
FileSystemWatcher object doesn't seem able to do this, unless I am
missing something.
Thanks

Hi all,
I have a question about flash-memory lifespan.
My database consists of 1 table, the table has 50 fields of 10 bytes
each, thus each record will have 500bytes. There are 1000 records in
the table, so roughly the table will have a size of 0.5MByte. The
system will update the record sequentially, one record is updated per
second. That is 3600 update per hour or 86400 per day.

I am a developer and a photographer, and I am trying to write a windows
service that can recieve a notification that a compact flash card, or an SD
card has been insterted into a card reader slot. The card reader is a
multi-format (CF/SD/MMC, etc) reader connected to the machine by USB. I want
the service to recieve a notification of the card insertion, so it can grab
the files, read the EXIF/IPTC data, and process the files (cataloging,...

Hi all,
In Ms Access, I have a Customer table and a Credit Card table. The CustomerID field is a primary key in the Credit Card table. Both tables already have sample data in it.
So, when a customer wants to purchase a product, they proceed to checkout and payment. They fill out the payment form where their credit card information is inputted.
When the customer submits the form , the system checks to see if the information is...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
