Hi,
I have an application where I transfer an excel file to a table on SQL through an adp file. The excel file does change so I pass the name parameter from a cmd line. The excel file has a specific range defined of 20,000 records. Currently the process is using ac.DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acImport and it pulls in all 30,000 records even though there isn't data in all 20,000 records (lots of nulls). How can I get the process to only transfer...

Hi,
I've developed a worklist system in Access and I plan to deploy four
copies of it to the four users that need it. I said I'll be deploying
copies because there is no shared network in the cave I'm working in.
Each of the users will have their own copy and work on it on their own
machines. It's so 1989 I dunno what to do with myself.
Anyway, the manager wants to get a copy of each user's data once a
month. So to my problem. I...

I need to copy records from several different tables into one text file.
Although the tables have many common fields, they also contain several that
are different from table to table. I can copy and paste the dissimilar
records manually into the text file, so it would seem that should be
possible to do programatically.
I set up export specifications for each of the twelve tables and tried to
export each to the same text file. This...

Assume that there's a website named www.abc.com. There are 2 ASPX
files & one MS-Access database file in this site. The 1st ASPX file is
named "SearchForm.aspx" & the 2nd ASPX file is named
"SearchResult.aspx". "SearchForm.aspx" houses a Form with a select
list & 2 TextBoxes. The select list is populated from a Access
database table.
When the Form is submitted, the user is taken to "SearchResult.aspx"
which retrieves & displays the...

Hi!
I am trying to export only the visible columns from a datagridview in
my windows form in VB 2008.
Should't it be no comma after the first row where the headers are?
Also should there be a comma at the last row?

I have a winform app (VB 2005) that allows users to export data to
excel, make updates to the excel file and import the data from that
Excel file and update the database.
My question is: Is it best to do it this way, calling the update
stored procedure for every update? Or should I be loading this data
into a staging table, and if all goes well do the 'Real' Update. Or
put this into a data adapter and update from that? The application...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
