Dear all,
I would like to figure out a way to add controls to a form using specs
stored in a table. Any assistance in fleshing this idea out would be
greatly appreciated. I'm using VB6.
Right now I am thinking I would loop through the specs table
(containing control name, control type, width, max length, etc) and
print lines of code to a text file. The code would look something
like the following:

Can anyone give me a quick code snippet (that is standards-based) for adding
OPTION tags to a SELECT dynamically. I have no problem doing it in IE but I

I want to follow naming conventions for my controls - i usually prefix combo
boxes with "cbo". When a form is in datasheet view however i do not want
the user to see the 'cbo' prefix in front of the field name.
Is there a way to retain this nomenclature and yet have the view display the
field name (or anyname i want for that matter)?

I have built a control that runs an on-line help system. Depending on the
category you selected via dropdownlist, it goes out and gets the child
subcategories, and if there are any, adds a new dropdownlist to the screen
for selection. This continues until there are no children, and then it
checks for a help article list based on that last selection and displays
actual articles for display.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
