BaseDirectory return value changed with ne .net 2.0 Security patch (KB928365) ???

Hi,

Last night I noticed the return value of the BaseDirectory propertey
has changed since installing a security patch for the .net framework
2.0

Here's a link to the KB -
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Can anyone else confirm this?

The difference is with trailing backslashes.

Without the patch BaseDirectory returns no trailing backslashes.

With the patch BaseDirectory returns one trailing backslash.

python-dev@python.org.] The PEP has been rewritten based on a suggestion by Guido to change str() rather than adding a new built-in function. Based on my testing, I believe the idea is feasible. It would be helpful if people could test the patched Python with their own applications and report any incompatibilities. PEP: 349

Hi, I'm trying to add some data on a company to an SQL server (which I can do), and want to return the FirmID (SQL identity) of the data that was just inserted so I can use it to redirect to another page based on the new data - which is the bit I can't do! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Using vs.2003 Using Server Explorer, Design Table, what can I put in the default field for a DateTime column? Obvious things like (#12/12/2003#) don't work. Please give me the answer specifically for the Default Field in the Design Table dialog box, what the exact entry would be. These fields use different formats than sql, so giving me an answer like use date.minvalue is useless because it doesn't work that way.

Hello, Using VS 2005 with SP1, managed C++. Before the security update if the project referenced A which needed B and C; B and C would be brought in automatically. After installing kb928365 this no longer happens. If I add references to B and C manually then the project...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
