Trying to load MSDN into Visual Studio 2003

I just reformatted my hard drive and am trying to install the MSDN to run
with Visual Studio 2003. But when I try to do it from the install screen
from Visual Studio, I get a window that looks almost like a list of options
for the install and then does nothing.

Does anybody know how to get MSDN into VS 2003?

TIA - Jeff.

I think the January 2006 MSDN was the last that was compatible with VS2003.
Which are you using?

I am having this issue with both Visual C++ 6.0 and Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2. I have the SDK and DDK installed. I am trying to write a program to retrieve the EDID for a specific monitor in a multi-monitor system. I already know how to get this information from the registry, but I wish to get the EDID from the monitor directly. So far I have been unable to compile my program. The compiler generates over 102 errors and 54 warnings,...

I'm hoping someone can explain the following. I have installed Visual Studio 2003. Setup several web application projects, compliled and ran them with no problem. All of this was accomplished with my local server. The default or root directory for my local IIS server is my "C:\" drive. (c:\inetpub\wwwroot) Now I would like to change my root or default directory for my local IIS server to be a network drive (x:\inputpub\wwwroot). ...

I have a test server runinng 2003/IIS 6 with a mixture of asp and asp.net files. On my workstation I have a share set up to the folder where the web files reside. I am just doing quick and dirty asp editing (like I used to be able to do with 2K/IIS5) where I use VS.NET, open an asp file, make changes, save and refresh my browser. Problem is that I get an Access is Denied error when I try to save the file and then the file gets wiped on...

I'm hoping this isn't another one of Microsofts ever depleating free help things, but I had to re-install Visual Studio 2003 Enterprise on a clean installation of Windows XP Pro. When I hit the F1 Key, (no matter what I use it on) I get "No links are available for the current selection". So I clicked the menu bar "Help" and "Contents", I get a blank window. So I go to the program menu and hit "Start>Programs>Microsoft Developer...

Hi, I know that VS 2005 has a lot of testing features and already used them for doing web load testing. I am wondering if it is possible to load test a win forms application. I don't mean writing unit tests, what I need to do is run a load test against my executable and watch CPU utilization and memory usage. When doing web load testing, a wizard help us to write the scenario through recording steps in a session. Ultimatly I need to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
