Menu strip hiding top of window

My parent from has a menu strip. I placed a control within the window:

History hist = new History();
hist.Parent = this.;
hist.Visible = true;

Everything goes fine except the top of the History control is being
hidden by the menu strip. What am I doing wrong?

I recently was asked how to make a page for my wife (wedding coming up soon) and my wife would like to have 2 ways to navigate on the same page. So essentially i would like to have a Horizontal menu and a vertical menu for people to navigate with. From everything i have been reading i dont think this is possible as both menus would call the same config file...

The pop-up (drop-down?) menu items that appear in both built-in and custom menubars since Office 2000 now sometimes appear "sunken" and by default are not visible, unless the chevron is clicked at the bottom of the menu. How does Office determine which menu items are visible, and which items are sunken/initially not visible? I've noticed this happens with my custom menus too, but can't figure out the "rhyme or reason" that Office uses...

Guys, I am using a dynamic menu which uses xml,xsl a css file and javascript. This works fine when there are no server controls around or underneath it. The problem is whenever the menu encounters a server control, it closes itself.

Greetings! I'm working on a CSS drop-down menu, which, to my surprise, is actually working, more-or-less, in both IE *and* Firefox (and Netscape). But there are two changes that I want to make that I just can't figure out how to do. The first is to make the submenu wider than the top menu. Currently, if the text of the submenu doesn't fit within the width of the menu item, the submenu item height increases to accomodate the entire text....

hi ng, I actually want to program an application whose main window contains a menu strip and a tree view control. In the main menu there are items I want to use for a context menu strip in the tree view but if I add a menu item from the main menu strip to a context menu it disappears from the main menu. Additionaly there's no (!) Clone-methode in the ToolStripMenuItem class, so I can't just copy the menu item at runtime. Can anybody...

I was able to set tooltips on objects other than main menu. I would like to get the effect of tooltip or microhelp in the bottom status bar when the mouse is hovering over a submenu item. How do I do that? For example in outlook express, when one expand a main menu item and holds mouse over one of the enable sub menu item, one would see some sort microhelp text in the status bar in the bottom

Hi all, In my recent asp.net (2.0) project, I want to give a desktop-application look and feel to my users. I think I'll do it by hiding the browser's default menu & toolbar right from the default page (i.e: default.aspx), which also serve as my login page. And it should have cross-browsers capability. Can anyone give me some examples on how to do it?

Hi, I want to use my own context menu strip to navigate a URL within a "new window", so i disabled IE's (webbrowser control's) native context menu, and decided to use my own. However i added a system.diagnostics.process.start("<mybrowser.path>") to context menu item to open a new window, but the problem is how to transfer right- clicked URL and navigate it in "new window". I think i might have used commandline arguments within form_load...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
