I've been programming in assembler and C/C++ for a number of years, but I'm
only just starting down the road of PHP & MYSQL.
I have a couple of questions:
(1) Before I start writing my own code, to learn from, and also avoid
re-inventing the wheel, does anyone know of any existing source that
implements a (basic or complex) play-by-email system using PHP and maybe
MYSQL?

I have an exchange server, that I sometimes use to perform mail shots to
clients on our database, these can be upwards of 1000 at a time.
As we don't want different clients to see who we are working with we put
these mailshots in the bcc field of the mails.
This can sometimes cause a problem as we are getting alot of mails bounced

I would like people to be able to send emails with keywords in the
subject line. I would then like my server/website/asp page to capture
the email, parse the subject and react accordingly.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Not sure if it is an ASP issue, but that's the environment I'm working

My company has it's own webserver, which is going to host our ASP.NET web
application. We want the website to be able to send out emails.
1. What do I need on the server so that it has the abillity to send out
emails? It is a Windows 2000 Professional SP3 server.
2. Any examples (code, etc...) on how to send out emails via an ASP.NET
webform?

Is there a way to automatically import incoming emails into a SQL
Server Database?
I know it is inefficient, but we have to run a number of rules on the
email after it is received. Store it in a database and be able to
connect other things, meetings, contacts, etc. Moving it back and
forth in chunks can be difficult and the overhead could spiral out of
control.
So we were thinking of moving it to the DB as it was retrieved.

resolution. I also noticed that this was a pretty old thread and there
didn't seem to be anything newer in the search results.

Hi,
Currently I have a VB.NET app which sends an HTML email to a customer. The
email has a textbox form field and submit button. The customer inputs a
date, clicks submit and that form sends the information to an ASPX page we
have on our webserver which updates the database with the information.
The problem is that some email programs like Outlook will not Submit the

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
