Hello group,
This might be a little OT, but there's so much more activity in this
group than in microsoft.publi c.dotnet.framew ork.interop... so be
warned :o)
I have made a simple toolbar plugin for Internet Explorer.
I would like to be able to show a drop-down-type of window, similar to
Internet Explorer's security warnings.
To do this, I need the exact coordinates of the display window, but I
just cannot figure out how to obtain these.
I can get the coordinates of the entire browser window through my
WebBrowserClass reference, but this does not help me all the way,
since I do not know how to determine the height of top-docked toolbars
+ menu bar + address bar etc...
Any help will be appreciated :o) and thanks in advance!
The best,

3 dimensional space?
The function take 6 value (x, y, z, v(velocity), corner alfa, corner beta).
The prototype is this:
double coordinate(double x, double y, double z, double c, double alfa,
double beta);
How can I implement a function that return the corner alfa e beta? The
funcion take the coordinates of 2 point.

Is there a method in JavaScript that will detect and return the coordinates
of a mouse click? For example, if someone clicked the mouse within the
browser window, the method would return (453,125), or something similar. I
guess another way to ask this would be, is there a way to image map the
entire browser display as a whole?

Hello,
I am bringing up an iFrame with a calendar control in it in
coordination with a text box that holds a date field. In my code
behind class I add a method call to the text box's OnFocus event that
calls the javascript method that shows and positions the iFrame
(arguments are the text control, and the desired x and y coordinates of
the iFrame). Right now I use hardcoded fixed values for the calendar
location - it was expedient and...

Hi. I am trying to find the cursor coordinates inside of a window, not a
form. I would like to display the coordinates of the cursor when you click
inside of the window. Either that, or have the current coordinates of the
cursor displayed as you are moving it around inside of the window. Thanks for
any help with this.

Hello,
I have a simple problem: mark a list of defects
on an image.
I think the best way to do it is to select a single
deffect, then take two coordinates of coursor
form an image on a web page (first when user press
the button, and the second when he releases it).
Those two points are going to be send to the web
application (i.e. with AJAX) and saved in a database.

I am trying to display XML in a WebBrowser Control. I receive a data feed of
XML and am trying to inject it into the control. I have not been successful
in doing so.
The only solution I have found is to write it to a temp file and then use
the Navigate method to load it. As the control is capable of loading it from
disk, I would like to find a way to skip the save/load and just inject.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi all,
I've got a bit of a challenge. I've got a script which displays the mouse coodinates if you click on an image. Now I would like to convert these coordinates to pixelnumber. Let me see if I can make it easier. Suppose we have an image which is 100px high and 100px wide.
The coordinates of the upper left corner would be x=0 and y=0
The coordinates of the upper right corner would be x=99 and y=0
The coordinates of the lower left...

Beware this newbie trap for the unwary. It goes by various names (in
some old MFC literature I saw some of the keywords above). Whenever

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
