Hi,
Am trying to install SQL Server Express CTP on my machine (Windows XP
with SP1). I have downloaded the windows installer and .net framewrok
specified in the readme file(ReadmeSQLEXP2005.htm) and also followed
the steps given. but could not install express. I tried installing both
June and april edition.

Hello, all, I started out thinking my problems were elsewhere but as I
have worked through this I have isolated my problem, currently, as a

I'm installing sql server 2005 express distribution version on an Asus
EEE PC with XP home OS, and doing installing and uninstalling several
times, and each time, it generated some abitrariy directory like the
subject one, which clustered my hard drive, but they not removable,
