Where is System.ServiceM odel?

I am on WinXP but have downloaded .NET Framework 3.0. Isn't
System.ServiceM odel supposed ot be in there? It's not showing up in my list
of .NET references within VS2005.

Thanks,
Ron

Yes; on mine it shows up as version 3.0, runtime 2.0.blah...

I imagine it would show in the vanilla 2005 + CLR 3.0, but can't check
at the moment as I have 2005 + SP1 + CLR 3.0 + WCF CTP... perhaps try
installing the latter?

I guess that list is updated only when you install the Orcas WCF/WPF extensions.
Have a look at %ProgramFiles%\ Reference Assemblies\Micr osoft\Framework \v3.0,
or %windir%\Micros oft.NET\Framewo rk\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation.

Cheers,

I have a bit of common code that I've been using for a while to return a dictionary collection of dataobjects. I've made some changes to it and other areas of the project, and suddenly I am getting this error (below) whenever I call it. My changes were small and I don't think they would have caused anything like this. Error message: Error: Method not found: 'System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2<System.String,...

Hello, I am receiving this error when trying to instantiate a webservice component. I have 2 development machines, both are XP sp2 with VS 2008 installed. On one machine, the code works fine. On the other machine I get the error upon instantiating the service client. I add the reference by choosing Add Service Reference from the project menu, and pointing to the remote wsdl file. I can't seem to find what the difference between the two...

I'm new to this. I'm developing a simple WCF service with a Winforms application on my laptop (2008). It seems to run okay accepting inserts, updates and deletes and sending datasets back through the service. Then the system will hang up. Here is the beginning of the error message: System.TimeoutException was unhandled Message="The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:59.9990000. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
