configsource on system.serviceM odel section

I am trying to use external config file for System.services Model using
configSource attribute, I get following error.

The attribute 'configsource' cannot be specified because its name starts
with the reserved prefix 'config' or 'lock'.

<system.service Model configsource="s ervices.config" />

Thanks

..NET 2.0 has a great feature where you can remove certain elements from your web.config and put them in an external file. For example the membership element has the configSource attribute and you can set it to configSource="myconfigs\membership.config". The only problem is that intellisense does not work in the external file, presumably because the membership element is no longer in it's place in the supported config schema (i.e. it is...

hi, i'm trying to create a program for pocket pc 2003. When i wanted to use System.ServiceModel.Security, the compiler complained that servicemodel is not present in System namespace. (I'm already referencing to the System.dll) Then when I tried checking whether servicemodel is present in 2.0 .net CF, msdn did not state whether it is present. Then i chance upon it saying it comes from System.ServiceModel.dll which I cannot find it in

Hello, I am receiving this error when trying to instantiate a webservice component. I have 2 development machines, both are XP sp2 with VS 2008 installed. On one machine, the code works fine. On the other machine I get the error upon instantiating the service client. I add the reference by choosing Add Service Reference from the project menu, and pointing to the remote wsdl file. I can't seem to find what the difference between the two...

I'm new to this. I'm developing a simple WCF service with a Winforms application on my laptop (2008). It seems to run okay accepting inserts, updates and deletes and sending datasets back through the service. Then the system will hang up. Here is the beginning of the error message: System.TimeoutException was unhandled Message="The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:59.9990000. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
