DirectoryInfo.d elete(true) access denied

MP
Hi,

I am getting the Access denied Error on a folder after I try to delete
a folder that contains some files through my ASP.NET Application.

Following is my code

DirectoryInfo directoryInfo = new
DirectoryInfo(E mailConfigurati on.EmailImagesF olderRootPath + "\\Event_"
+ eventId);
if(directoryInf o.Exists) {
directoryInfo.D elete(true);
directoryInfo.C reate();
}
else {
directoryInfo.C reate();
}
I have made sure that the folder is not open in explorer.
But the folder is one of my subdirectories of current virtual
directory.
No other application is accessing the folder or any files within that
folder.

Please give me a solution for this.
Its really urgent.

Thanks for any solution in advance.

Thanks
Mahesh Mahangare.

I run windows XP and IIS 5.1 and the system doesn't let me to delete or move folders using FileSystemObject.DeleteFolder(path,force) or FileSystemObject.MoveFolder(origin,destination). I allow all permitions to that web folder (Read, Right, Source Access) I notice that in Windows XP cannot uncheck the Read-Only option in any folder options. If you uncheck and press OK the next time you open the folder properties again the check box will...

The delete method of the FileSystemObject.FileObject does not return a result. If permissions disallow deletion, it will not raise an error. Conversely, if the delete method does succeed, a call to FileExists directly afterward may return true because the system hasn't updated yet (or whatever actually goes on). Is there any way to accurately check the result of a deletion?

HI all, Access 2003, Jet back end. Rather than annoy my users in a particular app by having relationships with enforced relational integrity refuse to delete a record with related records, I'm using cascade delete. When I use a continuous form and a record is deleted, Access provides a warning that there are related records, do you want to continue (an aside - anyone know how to trap that warning on the form on error event?). However,...

hi, I have an application where I do some processing on an access database then at the end try to delete a file. I've coded a loop to make sure the lock file is no longer present when i try to delete the access file so i don't get permission denied. The programs works most of the times, however on many occasions I still get "Permission denied" although the .ldb file is no longer there.

Hi I'm using DirectoryInfo.Delete so that when a product is removed, all it's associated images (including the folder they sit in) are deleted. This actually seems to work fine. However, the folder is not deleted, but stays and becomes totally locked down. I can no longer open it in Windows Explorer and when I try to re-launch VS 2005 debug, it complains because it can no longer monitor that folder .. because it's denied access.

Alright, here it is I am trying to write a win32 app in VB 2005 to clean up user's profiles. everything works correctly except for the Delete("directory", True) statement. I get a System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path. Then it gives me a random file name from the UserProfile\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\SomeRandomFolder. This is absolutley driving me nuts. So I am gonn give you a basic...

Hi, I'm writing a contacts section for a cms on a website, I've decided to write the section in OO code. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
