Hello,
I am trying to find a way to tell if an .NET windows forms Button
(System.Windows.Forms.Button) is "depressed" (pushed down). For my
application, I can not use a check box control set to button style, I
must use a System.Windows.Forms.Button. I can not find a way to tell
when it is momentaraly pressed.
I tried calling the API SendMessage with the button handle and
BM_GETSTATE to get the state of the button. This will only return...

I have an html page (warehouse.htm) that has 2 frames (header.aspx and
checkstock.aspx). When warehouse.htm opens, and the other 2 aspx pages
load, I want the cursor to be sitting on the first textbox (titem) in
checkstock.aspx.
How do I do that? I have tried setting the tabindex of titem to 0, but
it made no difference.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have just built a small application with a form that has one Text Box and
one Check Box and a couple of Command Buttons.
What I am trying to achieve is that if the Text Box has focus and the User
hits the "Enter" button the focus will move to the next Tab item (i.e. the
Check Box). Likewise on the Check Box but obviously if a Command Button has
the focus, it will initiate the Click event
I have set the Forms CancelButton to the...

Dear NG,
I created a gridlike usercontrol. When clicking on a cell a textbox (or
other control, depending on the cell's editortype) is shown. When some other
control gets the focus, the textbox is hidden. So far, no problem.
But when the textbox is visible and, for instance, I click on a
toolbarbutton, the textbox' Lostfocus event is not fired. The situation
should be that wherever I click, apart from the cell or textbox itself, the...

I have been using the following code to cycle through a subform and disable all textboxes on a form. If a textbox on the form has the focus when this is run I get error "can't disable a control when it has the focus." When I add a line like "txtTest.SetFocus" where txtTest is a textbox on the main form I still get the same error. How do I resolve this issue? Also, please note that I disable all controls on the subform.
Private Sub...

Morning,
Here's my problem:
I have a field (ResFileLocation) on a form (frmResolution) that inserts a record-specific value (record ID, date stamp, etc) through vba when it has gained focus.
To help clarify, here is the basic code I am looking at:
Private Sub ResFileLocation_GotFocus()
Me!ResFileLocation = "Forms!!NoticeID & "R_" & Left(Date, 2) & Mid(Date, 4, 2) & Right(Date, 4)
End Sub

Hi,
I have a simple web page which is composed of a flash audio player
(jwmp3player) and a form with a textarea box. I have noticed some
very odd behaviour which I cannot puzzle out.
If I click on the flash mp3 player to play an audio file, then try to
click on the textarea and type in some text, I am unable to enter
anything. I can move the cursor around the textarea but the keyboard
focus will not change, as it appears to be stuck...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
