Hello,
I am familiar with obtaining source file reference material from the system
clipboard using the old Win32 API.
For example, copy an Excel chart onto the clipboard and goto Word. Under,
Edit & PasteSpecial, there is a label called "Source:" which will contain
the file path, etc.
How can one obtain the source file reference material utilizing .Net

Hi,
I have been unable to resolve this error message: Object Ref not set to an
instance of an object.
The issue is that I cannot determine which object reference is causing the
problem.
The line of user code that gives the error message is:

We have a web site that uses .vb for the web pages and .cs for a class
module. We are getting the error in .NET 2.0 and VS 2005 beta 2. It does
work with .NET 1.1.
When trying to access a page that needs the class module I get an error on
web site:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Here is where the error is:

Hi
I am trying to compile a quite large software system with a new
compiler. During that attempt I am facing problems during the link
phase, and I have traced it down to the following construct:

class Foo

I'm getting the following exception displayed in the task list at design
time for my project:
"Code generation for property 'Controls' failed. Error was: 'Object
reference not set to an instance of an object.'"
I've traced the problem to a custom control I created that inherits from
Inherits System.Windows.Forms.TextBox. In this custom control, I have
two constructors. I'm not sure why I created the second constructor --
it was so...

I write my large project in C++ source code. My C++ source code
contains approximate four thousand small functions. Most of them are
inline. I define variables and functions in the global scope. The global
variables and global functions are hidden to prevent from accessing by the
programmers. All global functions share global variables.
Only very few global functions are allowed to be reusability for the
programmers to use. Few...

Hi,
I need to cache various resource objects such as images for example,
wich might be referenced from multiple objects
(wich could be considered documents for ease of discusion)
and the idea is simply to make sure they arnt duplicated
as they take up considerable memory, so I can look up
to see if an existing copy exists.
however once they are in the cache how can I ensure they get released,
when they are no longer referenced, as now...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
