I am creating an application in C# wherein I require to add a toolbar.
that is no problem and that is done as well.
What I need now is that the toolbar that i insert should be a floating
toolbar e.g. any toolbar in Office application is a floating toolbar . One
can drag them anywhere and also fix it on the top.
How do I get my toolbar to be a floating one
One thing more, i want that my toolbars,menus, buttons all should have a Win

Hi, I want to be able to put a set of
rafting toolbars on my MDI application
form.
The Toolstrip container does not help with this.
The content panel is in the way of my child forms.
I tried setting the content panel background
to invisible, and sending it to the back,
but that did not work.
Is there any workaround to get rafting toolbars in an MDI app?

I'm migrating/rewriting one of my VB6 apps to VB2005.
In the process, I'm trying to avoid using third party activex controls
used in the VB6 project.
One of the third party controls in the VB6 app was for menu/toolbars.
This control had an option to render the toolbar in an Office 2003
style which is nothing more than a top to bottom gradient.
When a new ToolStrip is added to a form, the default appearance of the
Toolstrip is that of...

What is the best way to create a menu bar like the Office menu bar ie
one that can dock to the four corners of the screen? Is it a standard
windows form or is it some other more specialised control?

I'm taking the items from a menustrip of a control and moving them to the
parent form's menustrip:
private void TakeMenus(AdminControl ac)
{
foreach (Control c in ac.Controls)
{
if (c is MenuStrip)
{
MenuStrip ms = (MenuStrip)c;

I am trying to use the ToolStrip control in Visual Studio 2005. I create a
C# Windows application & add a ToolStripContainer control to the form with
top, left, bottom & right panels visible. I have docked it to fill the form.
Next I add a ToolStrip control to tje top panel of the ToolStripContainer
control. I add a few items to the ToolStrip (it doesn't matter what these
items are). Finally I run the project. I can 'dock' the...

The ToolStrip on top of my form is to small. I want to increase its
height. Simply setting the Height-property doesn't change the height,
though. So I tried to place the ToolStrip in a ToolStripPanel, that does
react to changes in its Height-property, and by setting the
Dock-property of the contained ToolStrip to DockStyle.Fill, I expected
the ToolStrip to fill the entire ToolStripPanel. Nope. See the code
below, it is ready to run.

Hi :),
I want to create a toolstrip that floats like the mini-font-toolbar in Word 2007. It should float next to the mouse cursor when I click (or hover or Dbl click) at a point.
Thanks

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
