Hi All,
Has anyone come across a floating toolbar for .NET that does not come from a
third party vendor?
I have searched the net, but have come across nothing useable!
Regards,
Simon McCabe.

I am creating an application in C# wherein I require to add a toolbar.
that is no problem and that is done as well.
What I need now is that the toolbar that i insert should be a floating
toolbar e.g. any toolbar in Office application is a floating toolbar . One
can drag them anywhere and also fix it on the top.
How do I get my toolbar to be a floating one
One thing more, i want that my toolbars, menus, buttons all should have a Win

I want to have toolbars that behave similar to those in Microsoft Word.
I am using toolstrips and toolstripcontainers. How do I get them to
allow the user to pull the toolstrip off the window edge and become a
free floating window? Do I need to do this myself and, if so, what
event should trigger this?

I have searched the Internet looking for an example on how to code a IE
custom toolbar in VB.net without success, I want to create a custom toolbar
for our internal users and external users in vb.net and am looking for any
hints/tips/suggestions/pointers and would greatly appreciate a vb.net
example......
I can't use external dll's or third party tools outside vs, as I need to

Hi,
I hope this is the correct place for this post.
What is your favourite graphic tool for building the glyphs/images/icons on
toolbars ?. Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, or ?. I mean 16x16 or 24x24 - 24 bit
bitmaps to use on toolbars.
Some can be obtained on internet freeware or shareware, but with custom
needed glyphs it is not possible, and I need a lot of them.

Would someone provide a gentle explanation of how programs such as Adobe
Acrobat and Crystal Reports are able to add toolbars to the Access UI. (So
that when you start msaccess.exe these toolbars are visible immediately and
do not depend on a database being open).
The follow on Q would be whether it is possible to do this myself (add my
own toolbar), but if this requires detailed Windows-level programming it's
not something I would...

What is the best way to create a menu bar like the Office menu bar ie
one that can dock to the four corners of the screen? Is it a standard
windows form or is it some other more specialised control?

I have an application that is not an mdi but rather made up of multiple
sdi forms.
I am trying to keep a single set of menus and toobars that change
contents depending on the form that has focus.
The user has the option to float the dockable windows. When the
floating window has focus and they attempt to use the menus or toolbars
the focus moves back to the main window and the menu's switch to
whichever form got focus.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
