My brain is nuked....Can anybody tell me right off the bat what is
wrong with this code? Along with any glaring errors, please let me
know the syntax to display a message (Response.Write would be fine I
think) that will say "I'm sorry but the data you requested cannot be
found" or something along those lines....
This code is on an archive page I have on my company's intranet....The
end result is to show 3 records at a time pulled from an...

I am using the following code instead of a very lengthly select case
statement.
(I have a lot of lookup tables in a settings form that are selected
from a ListBox. The data adapters are given a similar name to the
table. Rather than making a long Select Case that could become
obsolete if lookup tables are added and the source table of the
ListBox is edited I came up with this code.)
This code works but of course it gives me build...

I've found an odd situation in where the Load event of the active form
fires (after the Unload event) when Access is closed. I am able to
reproduce this situation in Access 2002 SP3 and Access 2003 on
computers running WinXP. This does not appear to happen in Access 2000
on a computer with Win2000.
This only seems to happen if there is a hidden form also loaded and,
so far, I'm only able to reproduce this if the forms are loaded
through...

Okay I am really confused here. I understand that Microsoft created
stricter rules on the HTML source in the new release of VS 2005 but here is
my situation and I really don't know where to go. I have an application
with 3rd party controls and they create STYLE tags in their perspective
areas. The new rule states STYLE tags should only exist in the HEAD tag and
I understand that but I do not have control over where a purchased component...

Hello,
>From time to time my vb2005 form disappears and is replaced by the
following errors. Rebuilding the application never helps. However the
errors never affects the operation of my application that I notice, but
it is very anoying.
To get rid of the errors I must close the form, close the application
and then reopen it.

Hello I am working locally with Visual Web Developer 2005 Express. Before I
even installed it, the information from Microsoft was that you could FTP it
to a remote site and it should work. The site I FTP'd to has .Net Framework
2.0 installed. I got this error when I tried to open the site:
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom
error settings for this application prevent the details...

In VS2005, VB 2005, I suddenly can't get at a winform design view. The
application still runs OK, but I can't see the designer.
I'ver rebuilt the solution with no success.
I'm looking for a general strategy for dealing with this problem.
Here is the error text:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hi,
I've been having a problem with C++ Windows Forms apps not "ending"
when you close the form window. I've searched about this problem all
over the place and most searches have lead me to believe that this has
to do with unreleased form component events or event handlers.
I'm comparatively new to .net and windows forms, in the sense that
though I've been using them for over 2 years now, it's been rather
sporadic. I work with...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
