Security settings for .NET 2.0 WebBrowser control !

JM
I am using the WebBrowser control in .NET 2.0 Windows based
application. I want to use the default IE security settings, privacy
settings etc.

Is there a way by which I can achieve this ?

Thanks in advance
JM

Hi, I'm getting the following error when trying to start my application using Internet Explorer: "Server cannot access application directory D:\xxx. The directory does not exist or is not accessible because of security settings." In IIS I have set Directory Security for my application to allow Anonymous access (using IUSR_<Server>) and Integrated Windows authentication. In the web.config i have set impersonation="true" userName="test"....

I'm just learning Python, so bear with. I was messing around with the webbrowser module and decided it was pretty cool to have the browser open a URL from within a python script, so I wrote a short script to open a local file the same way, using the script file as an example target: # browser-test.py import webbrowser import sys

I have an ActiveX script which I need to run in my windows application which uses the .NET 2.0 WebBrowser control. The problem is every time I access the page I have to say "yes" to the ActiveX dialog box that pops up. Is there any way through the application (not IE) that I can tell the WebBrowser to accept everything and anything? Would the System.Security namespace have anything that I could use? I do not want my users to have to...

Good afternoon, I was wondering if there is a way you can determine what the security requirements are of a control. I have an application that throws a security exception if there is a WebBrowser control on my main form. The exception simply states "Request Failed". If I remove the WebBrowser control from the form, it works fine. The application is a full trust application, and I have set the URL property of the WebBrowser to...

Hi, I managed to create a Windows Form Control and put it on my ASP .NET page. I have done the suggestion that is provided by modifying the security settings. From the stack trace, I would assume that the code throws exception when it is trying to retrieve the processes list that has certain name. Below is the code that I use to retrieve the processes. Process processes = Process.GetProcessesByName("xxxx");

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
