Anchor property in a smart device application

Jan
Hi,

I am working on a smart device application.
The application should run properly on two different devices with two
different resolutions (240*320 and 240*240).

I know in the 'normal' windows desktop applications the controls have an
anchor property. Is this not available on the compact framework?

What other option is the best solution for my project?

Cheers!

Is it possible to use the databrid as the flexgrid. I am using vb .net in a smart device application. I have a part number being entered by the user, I then want to search the grid for that part number, if it is not there I want to add it. I also want the ability for the user to remove rows from the grid. The first problem is that this data is not in any database. The second is that I am developing a smart device application which...

Hi, I've recently purchased VB.NET 2003 and was hoping to experiment with the smart device apps. However the smart device application wizard does not seem to appear in my templates box. Looking in the help i could see that smart device apps are coded in VB OR C# and seeing as i do have VB.NET, I'm hoping that i don't need to go and purchase VS.NET in order to get this to work.

I have Visual C#.net and got visual studio 2003 with it as a package. My question is, can I create programs for Smart Devices? In the help file it walks you through it, but it tells you to create a new project and click smart device. The only templates it lists under "Visual C# Projects are: Windows Application Class Library ASP.NET Web Application ASP.NET Web Service ASP.NET Mobile Web Application

Hi all -- I have two questions. First, I'm adding a control to my form at runtime and the control/form seems to ignore the anchor property of the runtime control. Any idea how I can get a runtime control to anchor properly? Second -- the program I'm writting is supposed to look like a dos application (long story). When the application is "Normal" aka a small window then everything looks great. But when I resize the window to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
