Drawing a curve/line with varying thickness, How?

Hi,

I need to draw a curve with the thickness changing as function of some
variable. How can I do this in C#?
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I think you'll need to split it up into little lines / curves, and
adjust the pen width as you move along.

Is there a small graphics library that I can use? All I need to do is draw a line of a nominated thickness and colour between two specified points and to, at some later time, "delete" the line? I've found a few offerings but either they weren't multi-browser compatible or they were too big for me to consider (20K instead of 2 or 3K). Andrew Poulos

There doesn't seem to be any documentation on how to create and/or use an instance of System::Drawing::Graphics. On-line MSDN talks about this class, and says: " The Graphics class provides methods for drawing objects to the display device. A Graphics object is associated with a specific device context. " Great. So how about explaining HOW to do this? Or perhaps a code example? Or at least a CONSTRUCTOR (or some explanation on how to...

We have an application that is written in VB that allows to users to design some basic structures by allowing them to select items in in a Picture box and them modify the properties of the item that they have selected. The items that they select are generally lines of varying length & thickness & some arrows indicating the position of various forces. The users are very happy with the way they use the program at present, but we would...

I am not a programmer, I'm an engineer trying to make an interface to a product I'm designing. I have used C# to make a form that interrogates the unit via the serial port and receives the data. I want to be able to draw lines in a picturebox based upon certain data points I have received. I dragged a picturebox from the toolbar onto my form, but after having gone through the help files, looking online and trying a variety of things, I...

When I draw rectangle on WPF canvas with thickness=1 and color=black. It looks like it increases the thickness and spared the color. The drawing doesn’t look sharp. How to solve this problem? Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
