I have a table, simplified below, which has <col> and <tbody> elements. Is
there an easy way using DOM to access the table row length? The number of
rows varies as it is generated by an application.
I know you can use rows collection like
document.getElementById('myTable').rows.length, but isn't the rows
collection IE specific? I don't understand how I could use childNodes
effectively with col and tbody tags. Ideas?

To settle the dispute regarding what happens when an "erase" method is
invoked on an STL container (i.e. whether the element is merely
removed from the container or whether it also gets deleted in the
process), I looked up the STL code. Erase certainly does not delete
the memory associated with the element. However, it appears that the
destructor on the element is invoked. I wonder why it has to be this
way. In my opinion, this renders...

I want to be able to access cells within an HTML table, via computed row
number and column number.
I was considering using oTableID.children and oTR.children arrays.
My question is what browsers and browser versions support this?
If the children constructs are not fairly universally supported, then what
is a better approach to doing this?

Dear All,
I've been using some code to verify form data quite happily, but i've
recently changed the way my form is structured, and I can't get it to work
now.
Originally :
The form is called "form1", and I have selects called "PORTA", "PORTB" ...

How do I go about accessing elements of an Arraylist using something other
than the index?
I have a class that manages a number of subclasses. Those subclasses are
stored in an arraylist. The subclass has a key property that is a string.
I would like to be able to call Class1.SubClassManager as
opposed to Class1.SubClassManager.
I tried overriding ArrayList but then I wasn't sure what method to then
override or if there was a...

In my HTML, I have several of the following:
<input type='checkbox' name='right' id='right' value='0' />
All are the same except the value is set differently for each one. The
reason for the is so I can access the checkbox values as an array on
the processing page (when clicking 'Submit');
However, I want my Javascript code to examine these objects first. My
onclick event handler function (below) is called (I get the 'hi there'

I'm pretty much a JavaScript novice. I'm good at learning by example

..... I have some select fields in a form I created for a database search
that I am unable to figure out how to access. (The search is
implemented in Php/MySQL.)
The user enters search values for: name, address1, city, .... etc.,

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
