I cant get an email out using System.Web.Mail.SmtpMail.Send(msg)
If I enter a SmtpMail.SmtpServer, then I get the error, "The server rejected
the sender address. Invalid Address"
If I dont enter one, I don't get a .NET error, but my mail ends up in the
mailroot\Drop folder with a "DNS Failure".
Also, should the SmtpServer name be the DNS (ie., mycomputer.def.com) or
just the name of the computer/SMTP (ie., mycomputer)?

Hi all!
I am currently planning an e-mail service. The base core of the service will
simply be a MDaemon mail server with a modified WorldClient as the frontend.
Unfortuneately, MDaemon cannot add a footer to all outgoing mails (like "Get
a FREE 10GB mail account at..."), so I've thought of this:
MDaemon can be setup to use a so-called smarthost. If setup, MDaemon will
forward all outgoing mail to another SMTP server, which will then...

Hello,
I was given the task to build a .Net client that will talk to IBM
integration server via HTTP post.
The idea is that each http packet exchange should be authenticated via X09
"client authentication and not "server authentification"
The code i wrote is quite straight forward. (See listing below)
With server authentication, the server's application will contain a
certificate created specifically for that server. The client...

Hello,
I'm trying to connect to a system via https. As an additional security
measure, the server requires me to attach an x509 certs to my "HTTP POST"
request.
I get the error described in the subject.

Hi Folks,
I got a weird problem, I create an XMLWriter to post a document via the
webrequest stream and after running a network trace, I notice the data
is prefixed with 3 invalid characters!
The invalid characters are: ef bb bf, at the top of the stream, which
are . Why is this occuring, I am totally baffled by this?
Here is the stream:

Does ANYONE have a clue on how to setup .NET 2.0 EMail capabilities. I got
it working locally (dev environment) using authentication, but as soon as I
deploy my web app, I start getting SMTP relay errors whenever I send EMail.
What do I need to get SMTP EMail to work with .NET 2.0 framework?
I've been told that I have to Reverse DNS the web server?? That sounds
wrong to me and I'm not sure if that will impact my SSL certificate.

I have a WCF .NET 3.0 self-hosted service and client. Both client and
server are on the same system.
My service opens a secure endpoint and is configured to demand a
client-side certificate:
BasicHttpBinding binding = new BasicHttpBinding();
binding.Security.Mode = BasicHttpSecurityMode.Transport;
binding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType =
HttpClientCredentialType.Certificate;

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
