In Word and Excel there is (sometimes) on the right side the task
pane, which also holds the actions pane. It can hold the options for
"first steps", "help", "search results", "clip art", "new document",
"formatting ", "xml-structure", .... and it can also hold the
ActionsPane which you can define by yourself.
You can change the visibility programatically by
applicationObje ct.CommandBars["Task Pane"].Visible = true;
or
applicationObje ct.CommandBars["Task Pane"].Visible = false;
But I want to react on the event when someone closes the task pane by
clicking on the "x" of the frame.

The task pane? What exactly are you talking about? Which app?
