event when task pane's visibility changes

Hi all,

is there an event raised when the task pane is changed from visible to
invisible and vice versa? And how can I trigger this event?

Thx, Langi

Matthias,

The task pane? What exactly are you talking about? Which app?

In Word and Excel there is (sometimes) on the right side the task
pane, which also holds the actions pane. It can hold the options for
"first steps", "help", "search results", "clip art", "new document",
"formatting ", "xml-structure", .... and it can also hold the
ActionsPane which you can define by yourself.

You can change the visibility programatically by
applicationObje ct.CommandBars["Task Pane"].Visible = true;
or
applicationObje ct.CommandBars["Task Pane"].Visible = false;

But I want to react on the event when someone closes the task pane by
clicking on the "x" of the frame.

I'm using the code shown below which displays 3 input fields - when you click on an input field, a DIV is displayed which allows you to select a task. On clicking the task, it is inserted into the appropriate input field, and the DIV is hidden again. I'm using a tooltip script from Dynamic Drive (ommitted for clarity) to show the task description over the input field, but I am unable to reassign a new function to the onmouseover event...

Hello All: I've recently been recreating some 'dropdown menus' for a website I manage. I'm writing all my event handlers into my .js file. I've got the coding to work in Firefox, but the onmouseleave / onmouseout event I've attached to my hidden drop down (in this case an <ul>), is not firing correctly. It seems that when the mouse enters the ul it fires the mouseleave event. The problem is in the hideMenu2(e) function. I'm copying...

I am trying to use Word 2003 as an XML editor. I have an c#(.net 1.1) application that opens a word application, opens an xml file as a template, attaches an xml schema, and opens the XML structure task pane. The problem I am having is using the child element window in the task pane. The window displays child elements for the currently selected node. If the child element already met its maxoccurs number, I was hoping the element

I have on user whose startup task pane displays a back end file multiple times, even though he never directly opens the back end. This would not an issue, accept that he does need to open a couple different front end databases and it is convenient if both of them remain in the task pane. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! -- Message posted via http://www.accessmonster.com

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
