XML structure task pane

I am trying to use Word 2003 as an XML editor. I have an c#(.net
1.1)
application that opens a word application, opens an xml file as a
template,
attaches an xml schema, and opens the XML structure task pane. The
problem I
am having is using the child element window in the task pane. The
window
displays child elements for the currently selected node. If the child
element already met its maxoccurs number, I was hoping the element
would not
show up as a selection. Does anyone have a way to programmaticall y
access
the task pane window and stop child elements that reach their
maxoccurs to
not show up as a selection in the child element window?

Is it possible to add options to the windows explorer task panes? Say for instance that I write an application to rotate pictures according to their EXIF information, can I run this application for all picture files in a folder by clicking an option that I've added in the picture activities pane? And if possible how do I achive this? //Jonas

Hi Folks, I would like to take a XML document and write its data into a tree structure for a custom tree control. The document has two fields with one called task (a text field) and the other called tree_level (an integer field). Consider the document to be valid and well-formed. The tree_level is an index describing where a node will reside in a tree structure. A partial view of the XML document is as follows: <task>summary...

Hi fellow pythoneers, I'm thinking about writing a simple web service for use in the "Research Task Pane" in Microsoft Office. There is a lot of C# and VB code samples out there and tutorials on how to do this in Visual Studio on Windows; however, I am interested in writing the web service in Python and keep it available on a web server running Linux. Does anybody have any experience on this? Code samples? Reasons for NOT attempting...

I have on user whose startup task pane displays a back end file multiple times, even though he never directly opens the back end. This would not an issue, accept that he does need to open a couple different front end databases and it is convenient if both of them remain in the task pane. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! -- Message posted via http://www.accessmonster.com

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
