Hello,
I would like to add a function to my application that would search an ip
range for network cameras, however I'm not sure how to go about it. I could
try pinging every ip but then I wouldn't know if it were an ip camera or an
other device, another option would be to try and look up a webpage on the
camera's build in webserver but that seems like quite a hassle. Anybody got
any good tips ?

You need google to get the descption of how to get image from the cam that
have separate IP address. But I can't remember when I saw such kind of
cameras. It's too rare case.
Usually, cam is plugged by USB/COM and by default you can't reach them from

Well, I'm talking about network camera's not a normal usb webcam...

I am wondering what type of camera I should invest in. Either I could
buy a web cam and hope I can find a driver I could either modify or
use. i.e. every frame is somehow stored on the computer automagically

Hi guys and girls. I can't seem to figure this one out. Here is my setup: Speedtouch 536 DSL Modem, Nexxt 4 Port Wireless Router, CNET CIC 920W Wireless IP Camera.
The camera is set up in wireless mode and any computer on the wireless or local area network can see the camera and access the video. The setup went perfect for the internal network.
But I cannot for the life of me see why the configurations I have set to see the camera...

You're going to need to start with the driver for the camera - otherwise,
your application might run into problems finding where the video is.
Next, search (i.e. Google) into Twain Aquire sources.

Okay, so I have setup a scene in Java.
I have 2 points. The first point is always 0,0,0.
The second point is the camera position and can be any positive or negative values for x,y,z.
Now what I want to do is have a function 'centerCameraView' which will modify the camera angle values, and will put the first point (0,0,0) in the center of the camera's view.
