Hi Gary,

If the SDK uses COM it should be fairly simple, if it uses a win DLL, well
it gets complex

Unfortunately I have no time (who does?) to check the API and give you the
solution, you have to find it for yourself (that's part of the joy of
programming).

You can add the reference directly in th IDE , go to project , add reference
and look for the COM you need.

Btw, C++ is not that different from C# , if you do not understand something

I am creating a word document from an asp page. I have no problems actaully creating the document and creating some tables that have data in them. I am using Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-word" to create the actual document. My problem is that I want to place a picture (which resides on the server) into the word document as well. However all I seem to get is the place for the image but a picture of an "x" meaning that the...

Hi all, ] I'm having a problem with Word 2002 when downloading a Word document with IE6. This is in an intranet application, and the download occurs through an ASP that does security checks (amongst other things) before passing the document back to the client. What seems to be happening is that, when the ASP sets a content-type of

Hi All, I have the following problem, and I would be extremely grateful if somebody would be kind enough to suggest an efficient solution to it. I create an instance of a Class A, and "push_back" a copy of this into a vector V. This is repeated many times in an iterative process. Ok whenever I "push_back" a copy of Class A, I also want to assign a pointer contained in an exisiting instance of a Class B to this

no this is no trollposting and please don't get it wrong but iam very curious why people still use C instead of other languages especially C++. i heard people say C++ is slower than C but i can't believe that. in pieces of the application where speed really matters you can still use "normal" functions or even static methods which is basically the same. in C there arent the simplest things present like constants, each struct and enum...

Hi, Background ======== I've written a Web App in C# which controls a pool of Word Applications for mailmerge purposes (not ideal using Word non-interactively I know, but I have explored alternatives, and they all introduced various other problems, leading me to discount them). The main issue with this solution is that when there are problems with the

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
