How do you go about populating a select list from an XML file?
I can open the XML file fine and get at all of the data, but I'm stuck on
how to use that data in my <option> tags. Is it even possible?
Thanks.

I'm a swimming club coach.
I have a data base for recording times at various meets.
I have a FORM for entering times called SWIM TIMES.
When I enter the swimmers name ID, eg FOR01 for Doug Ford I want "Doug" to
populate the FIRST Name field and "Ford" to populate the Last Name field. At
present I have to manually enter them.
I have a table...

I'm sure this is a fairly basic question, but I've been looking all over the
web for days for suggestions on how to do this.
I've got a datagrid that's bound to a dataset on my form. It includes
several columns, the last of which (with the header Quantity) contains int16
values. When a user selects a row, I would like to have a combobox on...

Hello - this started out as a minor annoyance - and now is
starting to bother me more and more - I'm hoping someone
can help me.
I would like to have a combobox display - NOT initially be
blank - but contain a value. However the value is just
for user reference - not really one of the combobox
choices. For example intially the combobox...

I have created a bound subform on an unbound masterform linked together
with a common field (A store's identification number) using an unbound
combobox on the masterform and an invisible field on the subquery,
which filters for a particular store. The subform is in continuous
mode. So, what you see when you select a store is a list of all...

I'm looking for thoughts on the "correct" design for this problem (DotNet
2.0 - in winforms, but that's not so important). I've got two combo boxes
(combo1 and combo2), both are populating via database calls (using a
separate DB handler class). "combo1" contains a list of countries and is
fairly static, it can be added to but no other...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
