I was using a <table border> to generate borders around some
info/images, and decided to follow the w3c guidelines and convert it
to CSS boxes with borders since it wasn't really tabular data.
It used to be something like this:
<table>
<tr>
<td><img>caption</td>
<td><img>caption</td>

I created Search.CSS which grabs Google results (using the Web API),
displays as XHTML1.0 Strict + CSS, and recently also adds Thumbnails.
<http://blog.outer-court.com/search-css/index.php?q=google&css=blog.oute
r-court.com%2Fsearch-css%2Fdefault.css>
My question, how can I display image-borders only if the image is
bigger than 1x1 pixels? Because that's the default served by the Open
Thumbs project. So if I display a border around all...

I posted a very long message regarding my experiences with JavaScript,
one reply was posted asking I post an example of the problem -- and
both are gone! Is there a moderator that removes such stuff?
In any case, here is the issue in brief:
I want to keep the page invisible while my onload script decides how
to format it, setting colors, downloads images, etc. The style
"visibility:hidden" in the body tag almost does it -- except...

I've been trying to find a way to combine two images such that they
are "blended" i.e. that the top image is a semi-transparent overlay on
the bottom image. Many code examples show how to do this on the
screen (using the Graphics class), but not how to create an actual
image with this feature.
The key reason that I wanted to do this was graphics resources. You
can have only so many transparent windows on a multiple monitor system...

hi.
I am a bit new to graphics programing. I am trying in vb.net to make a
3 walled structure which'll give the look of 3d. for that purpose, I
am using same rectangle filled with textured brush for 3 walls. For
the center wall rectangle is to be drawn as is. For the side walls,I
need a prespective plan view, so the rectangle and hence the images in
textures should be scaled like in a trapezoidal fashion.
But matrices and Drawimage...

Hello,
I am reading in a bitmap image and storing it as a bitmap in C#. I
need to perform some mathmatical operations on that image but it needs
to be broken up into smaller fragments (16x16). On each of these
fragments I need to perform my work, then write back the manipulated
fragment to a new image. I have tried some different techniques but so
far no luck. Any advice would be great!
Thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
