[directx] Changing start of x-y-z coordinate system

I'm looking for any sample of code how to change drawing my mesh.
I have one box and i'd like to change point 0,0,0 starting not from one
of the corners, but i'd like to start at bottom of my cube at width/2
point? Is there any way to do that?
Thanks in advance

You can use a transformation matrix on the device or change the vertices
of the mesh manually. In the DX SDK, there are a couple of examples
doing this.

BTW, there are a couple of DX newsgroups:

microsoft.publi c.win32.program mer.directx.man aged
microsoft.publi c.win32.program mer.directx.gra phics

Andy

Hello, I have just read through the MS Access Security FAQ, and had a go at securing my database, but now I am stuck. I successfully set up a new .mdw file, say DEPARTMENT.MDW. With this file, I set up users and groups, and then the permissions to objects in my db. Now, I would like to reverse the situation I am in now, i.e. no matter what db I open from my PC, it doesn't ask me for a username and password.

Does anyone know how to change the the GDI+ coordinate system like you used to be able to do in VB6 with the picturebox.scale method. The picturebox.scale method took an x,y point defining the upper left corner and a second x,y point defining the lower right corner. In VB6 the 0,0 location was the upper left like in GDI+, but I could at least reset it so I could use it with lat/lons. Basically all I want to do is be able to use the...

I've created a wallpaper changer that I want to start up on system boot. I know that I can put a shortcut for my app in the startup folder. How can I get the install program for my app to add a shortcut for all users. If I do have a shortcut in the startup folder, I can see the current wallpaper before switching to the next wallpaper in the queue after system boot. Is there a way of executing my app before Windows shows

I've created rectangular coordinate system and a triangle movie clip and two buttons by which would like to be able to create a reflected image of the triangle movie clip according to x or y axis. I'm a math teacher so I want to create different geometrical functions with objects. For instance, I've created buttons for rotation, translation and reflection, but DON'T KNOW how to be able to reflect the triangle movie clip according to CURRENT...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
