Treeview Search

Hi
I'm trying to do a text search on a TreeView control. So far I've been able
to find the matching items and add them to another treeView but I want to be
able to add its whole path to the other treeView and not just the matching
node.
Any ideas on how to do this?

You will need to implement a simple recursive routine:

TreeViewWalk(tr eeView.Nodes);

private void TreeViewWalk(Tr eeNodeCollectio n nodes)
{
foreach (TreeNode node in nodes)
{
// do what you want to do with 'node' here.

if (node.ChildNode s.Count > 0)
{
TreeViewWalk(no de.ChildNodes, list);
}
}
}

Hi I have changed the control in my form to a Treeview 6 instead of 5 and my code no longer works as before. Can anybody help me here. There are no errors, but I only end up with the first entry (parent) showing and nothing happens with my NodeClick events either. Here is the code to add branches to the tree (taken from somewhere and adapted):-

Hey, I'm trying to find code for an Explorer-style Directory ComboBox. (You know, it display "Desktop", "My Computer", all drives, etc., but it has a treeview control inside the combobox so that you can navigate through the file system as well.) I've found some on the web, but all of them just have the drives and desktop directories and are static in that you cannot expand the directories. I normally build a treeview control to do it with,...

Hello, I am using the new TreeView in ASP.Net 2.0. I am using its PopulateOnDemand feature. The problem is that the treeviews +/- images, and any checkboxes, have the tooltip set. If the node contains HTML, then the tooltip shows the raw HTML, which is unacceptable to users. Is there any way to block the tooltips from displaying this HTML?

Hi, I am doing a recursive search of my treeview. All I am doing is iterating through the nodes and checking if my tag = my id. It seems to works, finds the ID, selects it and exits. However, it seem to add new nodes to my TreeView (it pretty much adds the entire tree). I saw someone had a similar problem in another newsgroup, however he had no explanation. Any help would be great. Dianna

Been having a problem using a treeview. Work great the first time the form containing it is entered but not the second time. Took a while to create a small sample that exhibits the problem, but here it is. Seems to have something to do with doing ShowDialog Easy to reproduce this project, simply add two forms.

My first time using a TreeView: I've got a TreeView that I populated with some data and it has nodes. In the Properties window, I created an Event Handler for the TreeView's AfterSelect method, and it allows me to determine what Tree Node has been selected. However, if I expand the TreeView and select one of the Child TreeNodes, they do not trigger this event.

Hi, I have a TreeView and this is my node style: <asp:TreeNodeStyle ForeColor = "#000000" Font-Size="9px" Font-Bold="false" Width="100px" NodeSpacing="3px" /> The problem is the expand button (+) resides right at the middle of multi-line text. Can I make the expand button top align instead of middle align?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
